My Dinner

Ha...nilah dinner aku hari ni. Bapak aku suruh masak udang galah....5 ekor dimasak sup, 3 lagi digrill waktu lunch. Langkah kanan aku hari ni. Dahlah awal bulan ni aku teringin nak makan ketam n udang galah. Tercapailah hasrat aku.... tak kempunan den. Tinggal ketam je lagi. Hubby aku takleh makan ketam, allergik. Tu yang lambat nak beli. Udang galah pula mahal. Kat tempat aku RM30 sekilo. Tak jadi nak beli. Beli udang biasa jek pun ok. Banyak2 udang, paling sedap adalah lobster. Setakat ni sekali je aku makan. Itu pun ada orang beri untuk bapak aku. Rasanya fuhhh....lemak sedap. Isinya dahlah besar.

Dinner ni aku masak egg fried rice with sambal and grilled prawn. Masa aku kat newcastle dulu, aku selalu beli nasi ni kat restoran cina. Rupanya senang nak buat. Ingredientnya:

Chinese Egg Fried Rice
  • Spring Onion (just finish yesterday so i replace with onion)
  • Egg (depends on how many people you serve. One egg perperson)
  • Light soya sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Mixed vege (optional, just to make it as a complete meal)
  • Oil
  • Cold cooked rice
  1. Fried the spring onion with oil. Set aside.
  2. With the same oil, fried beaten egg, stir and make it into small pieces.
  3. Put veges and stir fry for a while. Then return the spring onion.
  4. Put the cooked rice and fry together.
  5. Season with salt, pepper and light soya sauce.

Grilled prawn tu aku marinate dengan salt, pepper, crushed garlic and olive oil. Aku tak sempat nak marinate lama terus grill dalam oven selama 7 minit. Seasoning tu tak serap ke dalam isi. Apa-apa pun tetap sedap.

Moussaka

My very first Moussaka....actually my sister had make moussaka a few times and i just watch her. We even served it during hari raya 2007. In 2008, we served shepherd pie. Heheh....approriately for hari raya we serve traditional food. Only the moussaka looks different on the table. Just because every year we eat the same old food during the festival, curry, rendang, nasi minyak dan so on. So we got bored. While i was planning for my whole week meal, moussaka came out while reading my chef wan's Simply Sedap cook book.

Time to dig some more...

Any recipes from Chef Wan can be trusted. I said trusted because not all the owner / writer of some recipe books willing to give their full ingredient or correct measurement or exactly method of cooking. I also tried some of his cake recipes, all turned out fine. Later, i'll publish the recipe exactly from the Simply Sedap book. Bon Appetit!

Mr. Brownies

Brownies Walnut from Secret Recipe

I am craving for brownies. This past two weeks i bought Brownies Walnut from 'Secret Recipe' Cafe. I think out of all their brownies, the walnut probably a top favourite by the customer. Last two nights, i make my very first chocolate brownies. I get the recipe from Kak Hana's blog. The original recipe is from Kak Diana. Anyway thank you for sharing.......

This is the brownies i made. It taste sweet at the lower part but crunchy at the top part. Chewy and Goowey. If i made it less sweet is much better. The recipe use 1 1/2 cup of caster sugar, but i put 1 cup of normal sugar. I don't have caster sugar and have a few packs of normal sugar so better use what ever i have. Enjoy viewing.....
