Singapore Trip

Early october my family and i went to singapore for 5 days to attend my nephew wedding (my cousin's son) and also for holiday. Air asia ticket was cheap Rm 29 one way perperson which i booked few months before. In fact my other cousin who booked later got cheaper price Rm19. We stay at Gateway hotel located along Joo Chiat road. The price pernight is Rm85 which we booked online at http://www.hotelsonline.com.sg/. The reason we stay there because the place is near to my cousin's flat at Eunos Road.

In general Singapore is a clean country. Even at the market place i hardly see any rubbish. Probably because of thelaw. Smoking is also prohibited at open area even at mamak stall except air-conditioned pub. I didn't see any one smoking around. Mostly or all who smoke or simply throw rubbish anyway might be an outsider. The best about Singapore is no mosquito or flies flying around.

Taxi is difficult to get on friday night as most youngster go for outing. Also after 10pm especially on sunday. Most singaporean will call or online booking for taxi during this hour. My husband and i had a difficulty to get a taxi at 10pm from Clark Quay. My son already asleep and i'm worried if we never get back to the hotel. There are a bunch of people/tourist also waiting at the taxi waiting area which cannot be seen directly from the road. Luckily we manage to get taxi when we return back to the place where the taxi dropped us. By the way, night at Clark Quay was interesting. This is where the lion stands. Infront of it or across the river is Marina Bay Hotel, Muzium and theatre. When i was there, the hotel was performing a laser show.

Places we can go in Singapore are Underwater World, Zoo, Clark Quay, Little India Street, Arab Street and Orchard Road. Also Sentosa Island. A lot of places we can see there such as Universal Studio and Casino. My husband and i only manage to see two places. We wish to go to Universal Studio but the ticket is expensive. About $70/person. The currency between Singapore Dollar and Ringgit Malaysia is $1:RM2.40. So nothing much we can buy here because we only bring $420. Heheh....

The ceremony took place at the ground floor common area of the flat. Start at 10am till 5pm. Whole day....food were serve buffet style. From starter to desert. It was tiring for my cousins. Friends and family continously come. Hopefully in future we will visit Singapore again.
